forgiving Prada

Today I found myself thinking about the Prada SS13 shoes. More specifically, I found myself thinking about just how much I don't want to be thinking about them. I just don't understand the whole toe indent/is it leather is it not/sock as part of the shoe/general existence of these things. I did really try to like them, as the Prada crystal shoes are one of my favourite designs of all time but I can't.

I'm sorry, Prada, I just don't get it.

Anyway, onwards, or in this case, backwards and upwards. Back in time, that is, as I've decided that the only way to get over the fugly* SS13 shoes, is to focus on a Prada accessory of seasons past: The SS11 bright fur stole. Also because I'm trying to think of ways to incorporate more colour into my A/W wardrobe which currently consists of black, black and more black.

What do you guys think? Do you love the Prada fugly** shoes? Or are you, like me, staying firmly in Prada's past?

* I did try to think of a better adjective, but the shoes scramble my mind to the point where my internal thesaurus doesn't work. Apologies.
** Yes, I went there again.

blinged up birdy

Necklace: Zara // Shirt: Ancient Primark

Recently I've really delved into the realm of the conversation starting accessory. You know, the one thing you can put on with the most mundane of outfits and still seem like you've done more than just roll out of bed and grab the first thing from your floordrobe. With this said; meet my new favourite accessory, paired here with my re-discovered plaid shirt which I can confirm has been in my wardrobe for at least four years, and unworn for at least one. Zara have come out with the most amazing collection of blinged-up neckwear this Autumn/Winter and this is just a glimpse into the many I've invested in (and the many I'm still coveting). Well done, Zara. You've destroyed my bank balance yet again!

You can find Zara's abundance of bling here.
