It needs to be said that I really didn't want to like this Lady Gaga album. 'Born this way' really got on my tits, and despite having a really good message (everyone should accept themselves the way they are), it's just fucking annoying. That song, coupled with her just getting more weird and, in my opinion, attention seeking, meant that I was reluctant to even consider listening to it.
The album, however, is good. Annoyingly good. This song is my favourite, and I have no idea why since I usually shy away from anything loaded with religious connotations/messages/general undertones. Nevertheless I can't get it out of my head.
Perhaps it's the single line of french sneaking its way into the second verse. Ha.
